I'm not a knit Gal myself, but Craft Project currently has a sale on Art Gallery Knits.
Learning to use Illustrator to digitise my patterns was like giving birth to a country. I pretty much hated it and kept going back to Inkscape. Then I discovered Sew Heidi and her amazing tutorials and now I love Ai a lot.
The trick to learning anything is to find a tutor or teacher that you click with. It also helps if you are learing from a person who works in your field. Then you can focus on the processes you need and not the enless stuff you don't. Sew Heidi has a lot of great tutorials and downloads for the fashion designer. Give yourself time when you visit her site because you are going to be hanging out there a while.
If you want to learn how to use your pen tool, Heidi is your Gal and this tutorial is your new best friend.
All patterns in this issue can be brought seperately on One Thimbles site.

The Evie Skirt is a super simple and quick sew for intermediate sewists. It features a wide waistband, elasticated in the back, front button closure and side pockets. I have drafted the Evie to be a fun skirt for little ladies so it sits mid thigh. It is the perfect staple for your little ladies wardrobe this spring and summer. If you add a cute pair of leggings and the right jacket, the Evie is also great for the colder months.
Our Testers have all been busy whipping up some Evie skirts and making some fun adaptions along the way.
We would like to thank our Testers for being the best and most generous handmaidens a Gal could wish for. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
